In April 2007 Blog.SpoonGraphics was created as a small personal project, now two years on it’s still growing nicely and continually leads to more and more surprises and opportunities for me. Let’s take a look at some stats outlining it’s growth over these past two years.
In this week’s collection of my favourite findings from across the web we have a roundup of useful Illustrator tutorials; a compilation of fresh and promising new blogs; a bunch of CSS tips for beginners; an epic set of resources for Adobe products; and a group of incredibly artistic website designs.
I’ve come across some really cool posts and articles recently, making their way into this week’s roundup is a website dedicated to showcasing business card designs; a collection of beautiful watercolour effects in web design; tips for working with Illustrator’s Gradient Mesh tool; a compilation of tutorials for getting to grips with digital painting; and a bunch of resources for grid based design.
This week I’ve enjoyed reading a range of articles from design blogs across the web. Topics for this week’s roundup include website background design inspiration and techniques, a great roundup of Illustrator tutorials, some fantastic looking Twitter background designs, a guide to producing high quality textures and a collection of sites to find free vector resources.

This time I particularly enjoyed reading a fantastic artwork walkthrough, browsing a collection of inspiring website layouts bookmarking a roundup of indispensable resources, revisiting the evolution of Apple computers and sharing my thoughts on where designers should head after mastering CSS.
