Neon Effect in Illustrator and Photoshop

In today’s video tutorial we’re going to create a bright neon sign effect using the powers of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. While it is possible to construct the entire artwork in Photoshop alone, Illustrator offers some useful tools for producing the initial layout with its vector shape building capabilities. Where Photoshop really shines is with its various layer style options that can be configured to create vibrant lighting effects, which are perfect for depicting a realistic, illuminated neon sign.

  1. A great guide as usual! I have already learned a lot of interesting things on this blog, because honestly I learn myself and I want to learn as many things as I can do in photoshop :) I find that such guides on YouTube give a lot and thanks to that I will learn all the interesting options in this program . I am waiting for more, best regards.

  2. Very cool! I tried doing this and it wasn’t very good. I’ll have to go back with your tutorial as my guide.
    Thank you!!

  3. Thank you for showing this amazing lecture!! I want to share my resulting product. What should I do if I want to that?

  4. Neon signs are much better than led lights. Neon lights can give you the required font style. Good post though and posts like these related to signage boards are very rare. Keep writing more. Thank you.

  5. Good post. But for me neon and led signage both are great because they are very bright and people can view them from long distance. The old glow sign boards will be out and gone soon.

  6. Good post and very informative. Neon signs are very beautiful at night. They are eye catching. We are into safety sign business and blog posts like these are very useful for us.
