Hexagonal Geometric Pattern in Illustrator
In today’s Adobe Illustrator video tutorial we’re going to create a simple geometric pattern using a bunch of hexagons and a nice colour scheme, finished off with some subtle textures. I’ve done a couple of tutorials based on this style of artwork in the past, but I’ve since been enlightened about a third party script that alleviates the tedious process of manually applying the colours, which is the technique I showed in my previous videos.

Thank you for these tutorials!
I don’t know if I’m the only one, but my Chrome and Windows 7 blocked the download process of the Random Swatches Fill Illustrator Script, saying it contains a virus. Could you check the download link please? Thank you!
I don’t know what to suggest I’m afraid. Vector Boom seems like a totally legit site that has been around for a while. Maybe Windows is panicking about the file being being an usual file type for average users to download?
The Random Swatches Fill Illustrator Script does not work for me since I’m using Illustrator CC 2015.3 and the scripts in the respective folder have the .jsx extension and the one in the download just .js (I’ve changed it to .jsx and Illustrator detects it but it does not work at all).
Remember to restart Illustrator after adding a new script to the folder. When using the script, be sure to have the objects and the series of swatches selected before navigating to File > Scripts > Random Swatches Fill
I am unable to get it working for me. I have watched the tutorial twice to notice if I missed something. I guess something is wrong with my Adobe Illustrator setup.

Thanks Monaco!
