Today I’ve got a free texture pack that’s a little different, but I hope it will help you create some cool effects in your artworks. This pack contains 6 high resolution plastic wrap textures that are not only handy for creating packaged product effects, but they can also be used to add some cool grungy distress marks to your designs.
These 6 texture files are all 2000x2000px in size at 300dpi, which should be more than enough for most uses in your creative projects. Each file is based on black, so you can simply change the blending mode of the texture file to Screen to render the black area transparent, leaving just the white texture visible.

Use the textures to create plastic wrap product packaging effects, or use the distressed appearance of the texture files themselves as some cool grungy backgrounds.

Very very useful, thanks!
Great set of textures Chris!
Thanks!
Wow, that is so handy. Thanks!
Did you photograph these? What makes a great texture photo and do you have any suggestions for taking them? I’m interested in supplying stuff like this to my readers, however, the demands for church design aren’t quite things like plastic wrap. :)
Thank you so much for this post. I want to let you know that I posted a link to your blog in CBH Digital Scrapbooking Freebies (please, notice the new url for my blog), under the Page 3 post on May. 28, 2012. Thanks again.

Great textures. Your site has been an inspiration for me. Thanks!
Awesome collection! these will come in very handy!
Great texture, really like the old fashioned wrinkly effect.
Thanks Chris. Will use it in near future :)
Nice! I did this exact same thing back in one of my art classes in college! We had to produce every element for our designs by hand, so that meant our textures as well. Awesome work as always, Chris! :)
