It has taken countless hours to render my latest free resource, so I hope my readers find some great uses for them in their design projects. These vintage style light bulb signs have been crafted using Photoshop’s 3D tools and combined with special lighting effects to create a full alphabet of letters that can be arranged to form complete words. Each letter has a wood effect background and realistic bulb graphics that give off a vibrant incandescent glow. They’re approximately 1000x1000px in size at 300dpi, so they’re perfect for use in both digital and print design projects.

  1. AWESOME! Thank you…by the way do you have a file with one of the ‘bulbs’ with the light “out” so we could animate them coming on and off or dimming? Many Thanks

    • I don’t I’m afraid. The bulb image is actually from a photo I took of some lights at a Christmas market. In hindsight I should have sabotaged them so I also had an image of a turned off bulb too!

  2. Wow! Didn’t know the letters are that detailed until I saw your letter A preview and opened the PSD files myself! I love the efforts behind, as seen from the realistic vintage look and the perspectives of the light bulbs in each letter. Again added to my collection of free resources – potentially good for motion graphics, intros and openers!

  3. Always love your blog, but your timing on this freebie is amazing. I need this for a project right now. Thank you!

  4. This is so great. I did one of your tutorials to make these letters.. but I used a short word on purpose. Thank you for doing the entire Alphabet for us! Much appreciated!

  5. Thanks so much for sharing your resources. I still need pick up some inspiration for cool ways to use them, but I love the Hollywood retro film appeal. Thanks again.
